The area used to make this determination is defined by a continuous ordinary high water mark and may include vegetated areas as well as open water areas.Lakes over 1,000 acres in area and all associated shorelands are shorelines of statewide significance. Lakes of statewide significance are listed by county in WAC 173-20.Water bodies found to be smaller than the 20-acre minimum will be removed from SMA_Poly_Adopt. Water bodies greater than 20 acres not captured in SMA_Poly_Adopt will be added to it. These changes occur on an irregular basis.
