TMAs are responsible for transportation planning, growth management compliance within their jurisdictions, and the development and adoption of regional transportation plans. The Code of Federal Regulations (23 CFR Part 450 Subpart C) requires the establishment of TMAs in urban areas with a population of 200,000 or more. The boundaries are updated after each decennial US Census.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
