Service Description: The Stormwater Features Inventory Database (SFID) was developed in response to WSDOT’s 2009 NPDES Municipal Stormwater Permit, issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Among other elements, the permit requires WSDOT to maintain an ongoing storm sewer system mapping program for areas within the permit’s jurisdictional boundaries.
Stormwater Features Inventory activities are managed through WSDOT ESO's Stormwater and Watersheds Program. Associated operational procedures are administered by the Stormwater Features Inventory Group. Associated technical systems are administered by ESO's Environmental Information Program, as well as WSDOT Information Technology’s Data Management Services, with direction from the Stormwater and Watersheds Program.
